Having qualified as an ACA, Alan established Invex Capital following spells in strategic consultancy, corporate finance and Insolvency.
Through Invex Capital, he has successfully negotiated the purchase and sale as a principal of numerous businesses across the industry spectrum, reaching agreements with investors, shareholders and Directors as well as resolving employment and commercial matters whenever they arose.
Alan’s sector experience includes, business services, specialist retail, safety equipment, home improvements, property and the oil and gas market. He has strong contacts within the private equity, banking, corporate finance, insolvency and legal communities.
Alan is currently Chairman of Equity FD and a Director of the Tradelink group of companies. He is also a qualified AFA referee. His charity interests include work with the Restorative Justice Council, Brent Adolescent centre and the ’45 Aid Society.
Alan’s mediation style is commercially direct.
Lawrence was accredited as a mediator in 1994, and is consistently identified as a Leader at the Bar in ADR. For more than 30 years he practised as a barrister, Queens Counsel and Recorder of the Crown Court.
His mediation experience includes partnership, employment, shareholder, finance, professional negligence, workplace, inheritance, fraud and other commercial disputes.
He also leads training courses in dispute resolution and negotiation for legal professionals and others in the UK, Europe and Asia.
He was a board member then Chair of the Restorative Justice Council until 2012 and is accredited as a restorative practitioner. He is the Chairman of Search for Common Ground in the UK, supporting its international work in ending violent conflict and peace-building.
